Incorrect server name. It's not "(SMTP) mail.btinternet.com".
It is simply mail.btinternet.com.
Make the change here: Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers.
Sounds like you may have a similar situation with the incoming (POP3)
server name.

Help! How do I fix this? I have not been able to send or receive messages
since I purchased this computer.

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject 'You have received a YouTube video!', Account: 'POP3', Server:
'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0D

You do not have the correct server names entered in your account settings.

What is the part of your email address beyond the @ "ONLY"
How are you connecting to the Internet and who is your ISP, in other words,
who do you pay for internet access?
Are you at home or mobile?

Please help us to help you?
