Below is a sample error message I receive every time I try to send a page or
link from the web. How do I clear it away so that the messages built up will
clear out and be able to send this type of email?

The host 'Hotmail' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered
the server name correctly.
Subject 'New Holland TC-33D Compact tractor, Woods 72 mower - $5200
(Diesel)', Account: 'Gmail', Server: 'Hotmail', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Let's back up a bit.
From the error message I would have to say that you are not familiar
with POP mail settings. This leads me to believe that you may be
better acquainted with webmail.
How did you access your email before?
If you really want to switch from webmail to a desktop email
program, I will be glad to assist. Let us know the part of your email
address after the @ symbol.

I use msn email.

It sounds like you would rather have "MSN email" handle the chore
of sending a page or link from the web.
I claim no expertise with MSN email, so I'm going to crosspost this
to the newsgroup best suited for that topic:

http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...fault.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.msn.discussion

You can go directly there to see responses from the MSN experts.

Incidentally, there is a fix which allows Hotmail to become the default
email service in Vista. I don't know if that will work for MSN email,
but it is worth a try:
