email downloading to deleted file

I also had emails stuck in my deleted folder. I followed one of the
instructions to delete the WindowsMail.MSMessageStore files after a search.
When I restarted Windows Mail it rebuilt the files, but now emails are
downloaded into the Deleted folder. I read more and downloaded and installed
Windows Live Mail, and it also downloaded new emails into the deleted file
instead of the Inbox. I can find nowhere to change this. Any clues?
