i upgraded to v. 11 on the wmp & still upon clicking properties, here's what
i get for a song currently running:

C:\Documents and Settings\Craig\My Documents\My Music\38 Special\The Very
Best Of The A&M Years (1977-1988)\02 Hold On Loosely.wma

this isn't clickable, is it ? i ask as it seems the same as in wmp1o &
there are spaces after documents, and & Settings

thanks

Dallas, you're trying to be too complicated. Try doing it this way :

First of all fire up your mail software, if its Outllook express here's what
to do, any other mail client should be similar, you need to add the wma file
as an attachment to your mail :

1) Write your mail.

2) Click on "Insert" on the top of the menu bar > choose File Attachment >
navigate to where your file is stored.

3) Select it and click on OK.

4) Underneath the subject line of your mail a new line appears called
"Attach" and should show your wma file.

5) Send your mail.

BTW, make sure its under 5Mb as most mail boxes won't accept a mail +
attachment bigger than 5Mb. You may have to reduce the bitrate, and thats
another story and another phost ;-)

Cheers,
Jerry

Yes, all the other person has do do is download the mail, then click on the
attachment. It should then play.

You cannot "link" someone to your computer, hence my suggestion of sending
the file as an attachment.

thanks again jerry & am testing this as we speak w/ an email to myself, but
after 3 minutes, the email & song file of 9748 kb is slugging it's way thru
the sending process as it's only about 3/4 of the way from left to right as
being sent - should it take 4-5 minutes to send a file of 9748 kb ?

I would be very surprised if you succeed in sending a 9Mb file. As I said,
most people's mail boxes acept up to 5Mb mails only. Be carefull, it may
look like its been sent, but you'll need to check with your friend if thats
the case or not.

How long (minutes) is the file ?

To send 9Mb you'd need broadband, not dial up otherwise it would take about
2 hours. If you have the former then yes, thats normal

Cheers,
Jerry.
