Email a contact from the forms page, How to?

Hello all,

I've created a contacts database using the default contacts template and the
wizard.

I'd like to be able to email directly from a contacts record screen w/o
opening Outlook, pasting the email address, etc...

I've searched the help menu, but haven't found the answer. I've tried
focusing on the email info and hyperlinking with a "mailto:" command, but
that doesn't work either..

My default mail program is Outlook.

Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

I checked the FAQ, but didn't see the solution to my problem.

I'd like to initiate an email to a contact, using the form's contact's email
address, without leaving Access.

For example use VBA code directly against the TCP/IP stack to send
email via port 25 to a mail server. Or use a third party control.

Thank you for your assistance Tony, but my level of proficiency is such that
I can't comprehend your suggestion. I know what "code" is, but don't know
how/where to input it or how to apply it against a TCP/IP stack.

Ah, that becomes significantly more difficult. I don't think there's
any other way of doing what you want without lots of code.

Thank you for your assistance Tony, I've come up with a work-around. I've
imported my contacts into a separate Outlook folder, from there I'll use the
email...Less muss, less fuss.
