Eliminating unwanted paragraph breaks from pasted text?

Is there any way to eliminate the paragraph breaks contained in pasted text
without doing it manually? For instance, I've pasted the text below into word
and would like to eliminate the paragraph break following "Aligarh" and the
rest without having to manually delete each individual one (not to mention
the random extra spaces here and there). Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Was just what I was looking for.

I was reading on some other websites though that essentially the same
function could be done through "autoformat" but I don't seem to have that
specific autoformat option - i wonder if that was included in older but not
newer versions of word?

I doubt it's a version issue, more likely a setup issue on your machine.

In my Word (MacWord 2004) the AutoFormat option that rewraps paragraphs is
called "Apply--other paragraphs" which is not the most clear phrasing. Also,
the command to run AutoFormat is under Format | AutoFormat, but you have to
look under Tools | AutoCorrect | AutoFormat to control what happens when you
invoke the AutoFormat command. It's possible the right box is not checked
on your machine.

Greg's add-in makes this irrelevant, of course. :)

Hope that helps,
