eliminating track separations

I would like to burn CDs with no time separation between
track numbers. The tracks are spoken recorded by me as a
lecture. When I burn a CD-R copy from the file on my
computer it automatically places a 2 second separation
between tracks. Is there a way to set the preferences to
remove the separation?
