El Torito FBA

I've created a FAT partition active of 300MB. I copy my ElTorito image to the
active partition which is C:. I then create an .iso image of that partition
and burn a cd. i then insert that cd and boot to HD and run through FBA.
During FBA i get 2 error dialogs (Delayed Write Failed). It keeps on going
but is this a problem that anyone has encountered and knows how to fix?

Hi Tim. This most likely means that your EWF configuration is incorrect -
please check to make sure that "Start EWF Enabled" is *unchecked* in the
Enhanced Write Filter component in Target Designer, then rebuild your image
and run through the process again. It should work correctly this time.

I wrote a blog article that distills the El Torito process into a relatively
small number of steps - check it out here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/embedded/archive/2005/06/07/425939.aspx .

If you continue to have trouble with the "Delayed Write Failed" message,
please reply here with the complete set of steps you're following, and I'll
try to help you track down the problem.

Matt,

I created 2 parimary partitions, C and D. C is made active. I used
components specified and built an image with EWF Enabled unchecked.
Ran hd2iso and created iso file from c:.
Burned a CD from iso image and finalized it. Using CDBurnerXP Pro.
Disabled CD boot and boot from HD with CD in drive
Ran through FBA, got delayed write messages.
Continued anyways.
Deleted MountedDevices registry entries
Enabled EWF
Captured iso image of c: and burnt to a CD.
CD works.

Just not sure why i got those errors. Using SP2.

Thanks,
Tim
