If you go to start menu [or favorites even] all programs, & if I move,
rename edit or what ever, once then everything disappears.

My other computer doesn't do that I can stay and edit 20 items and it will
not go away until I left-click to make a selection. This computer used to be
like that before SP2

Where are the settings for that or what are they called even.

Thanks Bruce

There's many programs that clean out "MRU" (most recently used) lists -
cleanup utilities and anti-spyware programs, for example. A few settings in
Windows and Internet Explorer (IE) will turn history off/on but only
"history" in IE and "clear" (in Taskbar/Start Menu Properties) erase
history.
