Editing XP Registration Information

Guest

Hello,

I have a general inquiry about editing the information I supplied when I
registered my version of Windows XP. When the software was installed and set
up it prompts the user to supply their name. I typed in my first and last
name and registered with them. My concern now is that I may send an email
attachment and when I do that I see C://johndoe/My Documents...etc and I am
concerned about the security of having my real name associated with the
attachment's source. Is that a concern as far as identitiy theft goes and,
if so, how can I change that information? Any thoughts would be welcome.

When I do that I can edit the information as far as my login on the screen
but I cannot seem to edit the information that was supplied when I registered
my XP software.

That path is only the location of the document on your computer.
While the document is sent, the path is not.
Even if the path was sent, a first and last name is insufficient for
identity theft.

To change:

Line 7 right column "Change registered owner..."
