Editing with FP

Guest

I'm using FP 2003 and when I bring up my site in IE and click on "edit with
FP" I don't get the sign in screen that asks for id and password. A page
opens but when I edit and try to save it, it saves to my hard drive instead
of the server. So obviously I'm not connecting to my server. I recently moved
my site to a new server. I don't know if that has any bearing on my problem
or not. The FP extensions read "installed". Can anyone tell me what is
causing this and what I can do to correct it?

Thanks!

Use FP to open your web locally, do your editing, and then publish to your
remote host.

Hi Lindao,

When you utilize the edit button in IE it save a temporary page of the page rendered in the browser for you to edit or save to your
HD . It does not open the web that the page came from nor does it save it back.

Don't open it with "Edit with Frontpage". Open frontpage, then go to File >
open > site and open it that way.
