I was on Iranian international TV last night and they very kindly gave
me a video of the hour long programme on DVD. Two things: I want to be
able to convert this so break it down and put segments on Youtube.

The other thing I want to do if possible it take out or reduce the
simultaneous Farsi translation.

Can anyone help with this? No luck tinkering with it on my own so far.

[please note, this address is not valid for e-mail].

There are dozens of resources online that show how to rip DVD and convert
to something you can upload to Youtube. Spend a few quality milliseconds
with Google. I'd be that there are even several on Youtube.

You will probably have to re-record your speech (known in the movie
industry as "dialog replacement"). Unless they had the English on one
channel and Farsi on the other channel (which seems unlikely.)\

If there are so many, how come you can't name one?

Thanks for nothing.

People who do their own work are more respected around here.

Here is one you would have found instantly if you had tried...
http://www.videohelp.com/convert

You are welcome.

That is a very impressive, encyclopedic, well-organized site. The number of
formats/conversions out there are dizzying.
Way beyond my level, but good to know such resources exist.
I would like to find links like this for more basic stuff.
