Editing a file

I have 2 hours of movies and they are very dark (shot in
a hotel ballroom), I'd like to lighten them but can't
seem to get there.

Not sure whether or not the Windows XP Moviemaker that is included with XP
installs has this ability? You might want to ask this question in the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.moviemaker newsgroup.
