Editing a Backup Set

Is it possible to edit a backup set once it has been created? When I
schedule a backup job, I designate the files I want to back up. But if I
want to add a file to the job, I have been creating a new backup set.

That's quite laborious. Is it possible to edit the original backup set
with a word editor such as note pad?

I don't think that my situation involves an incremental backup. Let's say
that on Day 1, I create a job that backs up File A; and on Day 2 I want to
change the backup set so that I also back up File B. I'm asking whether it's
possible to edit the backup set do to that, rather than creating a new backup
set.

An incremental backup addresses a situation where you want to back up any
changes to File A. It doesn't involve a situation where you want to add File
B to the backup set.

You will need to create a new set.

Apparently, you are right. I located the text file that contains the
information for the backup set, and added the name of a new folder using
WordPerfect.

I was able to save the change, but the backup utility didn't back up the new
folder. This puzzled me since it is possible to edit other instructions --
e.g., batch files-- using a word processor.
