Edit programs running at statup

I see the other post Andy put up , but the solution to
edit in the reg is not what Im looking for .
In win ME and 98 there was a great little tool under
start/accessories/system tools/system information
then is system information up top under tools there was
an editor for startup progs and you simply added or
removed check mark to run the program on the next
bootup , i cant believe they would take this out of XP ,
so is there such a thing ?
Iv also tried tweak UI but it doesnt have this feature .

Using Msconfig to shut off Auto-Start programs
Here are the steps:
.. Click Start
.. Go to Run
.. Type in the box msconfig
.. Click on the Startup tab at the top, this will show a listing of programs
that auto start when your computer is first booted. If you uncheck the box the
program will no longer auto start and sit in your system tray /notification area
when you boot. You'll need to reboot before this takes effect.

Another way to do this would be to go to the program that is in your system
tray/notification area and you may find the settings to remove them from the
auto start, most programs have this listed in the properties section.
