c:\
e:\
m:\
systemstate

FUTURE: I am told it's better to backup the Microsoft Information Store on
the fly and don't stop the Exchange services. What do I add in the .bks file
to backup Microsoft Information Store without stopping the services ?
I'm not sure, but I recommend backing up the Exchange IS online ASAP.
The offline method has a few problems unless you know exactly what you
are doing.

One way to create a bks file is to use the GUI. Create a scheduled
task to back up exactly what you want to back up, Schedule it for 30
minutes in the future. Locate the bks file created by the GUI. Copy it
somewhere, and cancel the scheduled task.

If you edit it by hand, I believe that you should use a Unicode
editor. But I'm not sure if it is absolutely essential.

Cheers,

Cliff
