ntbackup error "invalid command line parameter"

When I try to run a scheduled backup job that I created in W2k Server using
backup it doesn't run. I ran the job from a command prompt and I get the
message "invalid command line parameter" when I run with the syntax ntbackup
backup "acheck.bks". The server has service pack 4 and the ntbackup.exe is
dated 6/19/2003. Does someone know a solution for this?

It's a little difficult to guess what your exact problem is, since
you decided not to include your command line in your post.
I suspect that you dropped the "@" in front of "acheck.bks".

Hi,

I have the exact same problem.
The error message I got was: Invalid command line parameter"maandag".

Here is my command line:

C:\WINNT\system32\ntbackup.exe backup "@C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\data\maandag.bks" /d "maandag"
/v:yes /r:no /rs:no /hc:blush:n /m normal /j "maandag" /l:s /g
"604c78b9-56d9-4578-b34d-881ad4bf7cb4"

Is the tapelabel ("maandag") case sensitive?

Would appreciate some tips.

Greetz,
Eddie
