Easy exporting of non-English Text in MS Word

Greetings,
I am currently running MS Office 2003 and have the Arabic and Farsi
languaged enabled on my computer. The current document I am working on which
is around 600 pages has text in all three languages - Arabic, Farsi and the
bulk of it in English (short quotations in Arabic and Farsi).

I am trying to figure out if there is an easy way to have all non-English
text grouped together in a separate file or as an Index at the back of the
book without having to clip-and-paste everything.

Is there any way that such non-English text can be marked and then
automatically indexed or extracted into a file?

Hi

One way to do this is to create one style for the Arabic text and another
for the Farsi text. Set up the styles with the formatting you need, and
apply them to all the relevant Arabic and Farsi text.

At the end of the document, use the Table of Contents functionality to
create a 'table of contents'. At Insert > Reference > Index and Tables,
click Options. Given that you have a large document, you probably already
have a Table of Contents in the document, and it will be using the early
levels. So for this purpose, find your Arabic style in the list and set it
to TOC level 8, and find the Farsi style and set it to TOC level 9. Then
click OK and OK.

What you'll see at first will be fairly awful, because this 'table of
contents' will be formatted using the built-in TOC 8 and TOC 9 styles, which
by default have large left indents. Modify them so that they match the font
and paragraph formatting you require. Get rid of the left indent and give
them some space before and after the paragraphs.
