Hi,

We are having this problem on a windows 2000 terminal server build. CA
e-trust antivrus is running on this TS and also Realtime monitoring in
enabled. The problem I am having is that as long as Realtime monitoring is
disabled, the server stays up but as soon as realtime monitoring is enabled,
the server reboots itself leaving event in the event log saying that the
previous system shutdown was unexpectedly.

Any Idea Please !!!

Thanks

RR

I've been running eTrust EZ Anti-Virus on a Windows ME and two Windows 2000
Pro machines since 2001. I know, as recently as July 2002, the EZ AV
real-time file protection had a much greater impact on performance for NTFS
files systems than on FAT32 systems. I haven't tested it since, and
admittedly, the real-time scanning is working fine on my two Windows 2000
Pro machines.

What I would do is open up the Real Time Protection dialog from the EZ AV
Options menu and start turning some things off. For example, I would start
by disabling Heuristic Scan on the Virus Monitoring tab. I would also look
at the EZ AV log file and see if it thinks it is detecting virus activity or
a bad boot sector, etc.

I hope some of this helps.
