E-Mailing Word doc

i'm using ms outlook 2002 as well as ms word 2002

when i create an e-mail with a word document as the body, it appears fine on my end. but when i send the e-mail, the body becomes distorted. the columns shift, the borders change, the artwork somehow disappears. i have sent the e-mail from one of my accounts to another at the same location (same computer, same network)

i would prefer not to send the document as an attachment (i don't want the receiver to have to click and open).

Columns? Newspaper or table columns. You'll probably get the most
predictable results if you use fixed width tables.
