I have all my managers in a folder in contacts called managers, but I only
want to e-mail 1 manager in the folder and not all of them ,how do e-mail
just 1 manager,is this function available or do I have to have each managers
e-mail individually in the contacts list

If they are in a folder called managers then they must be listed
individually. Do you mean you have them listed as a Distribution list?

Your post is a little confusing. A few questions for you:

When you look in the Contacts Folder, does each manager have their own
Contact card? When you open a Contact, is that person's email address in
the email field?

IF the answer to both those questions is "yes" you have Contacts set up the
way I would expect. So to email one or more of those Contacts you can
select their Contact card and then from the menu | Actions | New message to
Contact.

You can also just type their name in the To... field of a new email.
