E-Mailing report

S

Steven Castle

I am using Access 2000 and outlook 2000 and am trying to e-
mail out reports to transport companies giving them
transport details. I want to be able to put the report
into an e-mail using HTML. I have tried using Snapshot
viewer but i am worried that when i send the e-mail, our
transporter will not be able to open the attached report.
I have created the macro to export using HTML but for some
reason it seems to lose all of its formatting.

Any ideas on how we can keep the formatting when e-mailing
using HTML format. I have tried the Knowledge base article
209145 but this doesn't work. I know it can be done as i
have seen other companies use it for orders to us.

Please reply ASAP as i need to get this system up and
running soon

Please can you help

Regards

Steve

Steven,

Using one of the free or nearly-free PDF drivers available for download
(http://www.pdf995.com) , for example, will allow you to convert your report
into a PDF file, which will retain all of the formatting of your Access
report. The PDF format is fairly universal and the reader is available for
free from http://www.adobe.co.uk/products/acrobat/readstep2.html . In one
large emailing done some months back, we put a last paragraph in the email
indicating that the recipient could download the Acrobat Reader and provided
the link.

Or, you might want to consult MVP Tony Toews' site where he has some very
helpful hints and links regarding email and Access:
