Attachments don't have their own folders. Unless you save the attachment to a
folder.

There are many reasons why you might not be able to open an attachment. You
don't have an appropriate program for the file type. The attachment is
blocked for security reasons. For more information click Start, choose Help
and Support, and search for Windows Mail Attachments. Or see:

You should be able to send an e-mail to anyone, anywhere, any time. But
there's no such thing as putting "new e-mail addresses on Windows Mail". If
you're looking to store people's names and e-mail addresses somewhere, use
Windows Contacts. You can open it from the All Programs menu or the Contacts
button in Windows Mail. Or, if you received a message from someone,
right-click the message header and choose Add Sender to Contacts.

Go to the help file in WinMail and it should help you set up the account.
Tools | Accounts | Add | Mail and then fill in the blanks.

The attachments are governed as in OE. see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#1
You should save and scan any attachments before opening them.
