I was wondering if there is any freeware that increases protection for my
e-mail other than the anti virus I already have installed ( panda antivirus)
I caught a virus last week that the anti virus didn't pick up and it caused
me lots of problems I did however get rid of it but I don't want to go
throught that again thank you Brian

Windows SP2 provides certain increased security which benefits email / virus
detection.

It is not in itself an Anti-Virus application.

I would recommend that you stay 'up-to-date' with a better AV application,
such as AVG, e-Trust Anti Virus from Compuetr Associates or Norton Anti-Virus.

There is one good rule that one should keep in mind when buying for a PC:
'one gets what one pays for': thus freeware is not as well produced or
maintained as that which one has to buy.

Of course there may be exceptions: however if Linux was THAT good, no PC
sold today would have Windows!

Hi,

MailWasher: http://www.firetrust.com/ will let you view the contents of
your mailbox before you decide if you want to bring it home or not. If
not, you can then either delete the trash, or bounce it back to the
sender with the message that your address had permanent fatal errors.
