E-mail problems.

I have outlook express. Pictures do not come through on my
e-mail, nor do they go out. Everything comes through as a
download-- and these are just simple jokes or whatever.
It is time consuming to deal with this on most all e-mails.
Do I need to use another e-mail server? Would that correct
the problem? I have roadrunner. Thank you for any
assistance you can give me. Ida
