e-mail not printing properly

Jackie W.

We use peoplepc as our I/N provider, we have a HP dj 5150
printer. We also have outlook express. I have called HP
& people pc. I am told the problem is with the settings
w/in the outlook express although I haven't changed them.
Everything prints fine, including e-mail attachments, but
the actual e-mails print starting 1/2 way down the page
and then they print in space of 1" going down the middle
of the page (as if with 4" margins). It therefore takes
at least 2 pages to print a 1 paragraph e-mail. Anyone
know how to fix it and if it is indeed a problem related
to the settings in outlook express?

HI...I've been tearing my hair out w/similar margin
problems. Perusing old postings, some genius discovered
you have to fix "Page setup" in IE NOT in OE!
good luck...it worked for me!

No idea specifically, but I have seen printers' memory get
messed up and do weird things. Power down (unplug) for
awhile a see if it resolves itself.
Also check the printer properties even though you didn't
change them -- maybe something else did.
Weird that some things print ok. Could there be any weird
characters in the e-mail? Paste it into a word doc and
try printing from there.

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002 & 2003 from the
Office family for Windows PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting
in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:
