e-mail highlighted address

in body of e-mail whenever an e-mail address is typed in as part of the msg,
the address becomes highlighted. Any way to turn off this feature/

Not that I'm aware of. Any form of valid hyperlink you type into an email
message is highlighted; an email address is seen as a "mailto:" hyperlink.

No, there is no way to change it. That behavior is hard-coded.

It's been awhile since this was posted and I don't know if anyone answered
this anywhere else but, Yes, there is a way to turn off this feature.
Hightlight the email address you typed, go to Edit and click on "Remove
Hyperlink," this will remove the link in the email.
