E-mail filters not expanding folders

Greetings,

At home my folders auto-expand when a filter drops mail into them.

Here at work under Exchange the blasted folders just sit there, happily
hiding from the fact that they contain new mail.

I've searched high and low in the forums, Google, TechNet etc. and I've
check my options in Outlook but I don't see an option to turn this behaviour
on or off.

Am I missing something?

Cheers.

I think that's standard behavior in OL2003. What versions are you running at
home & at work?

2007 beta under XP at home (although my 2003 did the auto-expanding too).

2003 SP 2 under XP and Exchange at work.

If this is "standard" behaviour it makes no sense. Who wouldn't want to
know they have new mail in a folder?

Cheers.

You can use the Unread Items search folder to find these easily in your
message store no matter where they sit. That's the way I do things here in
OL2003 & OL2007

Well I don't even see that "search folder" as yet but I'll look.

However, you're basically telling us to use a work-around for a feature that
I can't see why wouldn't be enabled in an Exchange / Corporate environment if
it works in a home environment?
