E.MAIL ERROR

I am new to Vista and i already dislike,any way
When i click on send and receive, a message appears saying
The connection to the server has failed, Account: ' POP,SUPANET.COM; server:
'POP.SUPANET.COM; protocol: POP3, 995, secure [SSL]: yes, socket error:
10060, error number: 0x800CCCOE .

I am pulling my hair out what's left, can anyone help.

Did you type that error message, or copy it exactly?

The server name ought to be in lower case letters, also note the (') prior
to the server name -- 'POP.SUPANET.COM - it should not be there.

Go to tools>accounts>select your account>properties>server tab and make the
changes.

If you did type it then please copy and paste the exact error in your reply.

Your error message was hand-typed, as several typos are apparent.
It's hard to tell real errors from typos, so please post an exact copy.
Right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

Looking at your ISP's email setup instructions, I see no evidence that
they support port 995 and/or SSL:

Have you tried it with the standard settings, port 110, no SSL?

Why are you using Port 995? all the info that I have found says supanet uses
port 110, on the advanced tab of your account settings.
Unless they changed to that port recently?

Thanks to all who replied it was a great help ,i have now managed to receive
and send E.MAIL .
