I thought by now that microsoft would have built in some more e-mail options
and they have as regards filtering spam, but it would be nice if there were
more response option. I am up to 300 spam messages a day and would verymuch
like to return them to their owner!

Does anyone know of a free trust worthy SPAM bouncer add-in for outlook?
I have tried a few, but they all seemto cause problems.

Thanks for your help.

Bad, bad, VERY BAD idea!

This will only increase the amount of needless messages on the Internet. Not
only that but most of the spam messages are sent from non-existing domains
so you'll receive your own bounce back again (as you are sending out an
e-mail that looks like a bounce not a real bounce; only mail servers can do
that). So for each spam mail you now have at least 3 messages send over the
Internet. When the address is spoofed you are only sending out bounce
messages to people who never have sent you the item in the first place which
increases their spam count (and when they bounce as well you are just
bouncing to each other for eternity).

"I am up to 300 spam messages a day"
I'm sorry to hear, but not surprised when you tried to solve it with
"bounce" tools.

Thanks for your tips. I agree with your comments and at present I do not have
any plug-ins or e-mail controlling software installed. I am just relying on
Outlook filters and would use them to permanently delete the spam except it
sometimes picks up normal e-mails.

I have noticed that the Spam has increased dramatically (by about 250) since
orange have taken over wanadoo! (My ISP)
I am thinking of changing from them as the service is rubbish and so is the
support.

That does however still leave me with the problem and I should think many
others as well? Can you tell me what you think is the best process to deal
with it?
Thanks for your help.

You might want to use a provider that has both spam filters and AV installed
at their end, and with web access to your accounts there should be
provisions to modify their spam filters. Works for me very well
