e-mail attachments-videos

NIGHTCRAWLERmb

I'm running Vista, and I've recently ran into a problem. I've always
normally been able to open up my attachments that are videos by the usual
double click, a futher window pops up to Open, indicating that it'll open up
using Windows Media Player, I clicked on Open and it would begin. Now when
I do the aforementioned and the window comes up and I click on open, it
begins playing, however to view it I have to click on the icon Windows Media
Player before the actual e-mail will disappear and the video is able to be
viewed. Why would this have just occurred, has it something maybe due to
their recent updates etc.
Any assistance gladly welcomed.
tks Rick

What happens when you select a video that is already saved to your hard
drive?

Hi Steve, I have no problem with any videos that I've previously saved as far
as I know, that as soon as I go to play them they work okay. I'm going to
try a run on that idea just to see if I do have any further probs on that
part. I'll let you know. It was just on the e-mail attachments where
someone would send a video and it would play alright but the e-mail face page
didn't disappear so the video could be watched, but again I'll see what
happens to what you have mentioned and get back to you.
Tks

Hi again Steve, well you were correct, any of the e-mail videos that were
saved and were to be opened by Windows Media Audio/Video, I had to click on
the Windows Media icon before they would show, although they were still
playing in the backround. The only videos that would play direct, in
otherwards show up right away, were PPS videos.

Hi Steve, now that I've found out that the same is happening on the hard
drive with the videos, where can I go from here to correct it.
