E-mail Attachments not going out with Outlook 2007

Recently I have been having a problem with e-mail attachments. Even though I
attach files they sometimes do not get through to the receipient.

Make sure you send only in HTML or Plain Text formay. Do not use Rich Text
format as only other Outlook users can decode that format.

It doesn't happen all the time. When it happens the attachments do not even
appear.

I noticed that when I e-mail attachmetns at home they go through but not at
the office.

I am having the same problem. I posted this on Nov 7, 2008 subject: sent
attachments not received. This has not been resolved for me either so I will
be anxiously watching your posts.

We're having the same problem, no matter what text format we choose. I can't
find support for this issue anywhere - second day looking for it.

Read Ron's most recent post: the problem only happens when he sends
mail from work, it's fine when he sends from home.

Ditto for me. I just changed my email options to plain text and one
recipient got the attachment, still one did not. It's frustrating!

I may have stumbled on to the solution. When I send e-mail with attachments
from my office I send them through my on-line service instead of through the
office server. So far I have not lost an attachment yet but I have only done
a few as of this date.

Attachments do not appear where? If on the recipient's end and when they're
not using Outlook, then this is exactly the symptom you will see for a Rich
Text format message.

I have finally had success in sending my attachment. I had changed my email
options previously to plain text (default was HTML) but some recipients still
did not receive the attachment. The solution for me which I found elsewhere
in this forum: In the contact folder, I double clicked on my recipients
email address. That brought up an e-mail properties dialogue box. I changed
the internet format to "send Plain Text only" (default was Let Outlook
Decide) for the recipients that did not receive my attachment and that
worked. I had to change each contact individually but what a relief to
finally accomplish sending an attachment! :)
