Cannot send any attachments in OL2007. Searched all the security stuff I
could but can't find any reference to blocking attachments. Basic attachment
is a Word DOC file.

What happens when you try? Do you get an error message? If you are using a
virus scanner that integrates with Outlook disable this integration and try
again.

No error msg. It just doesn't transmit. The file attches in the new msg
screen but on receipt is just plain GONE! Setup is this -
Vista (Ultimate), Office 2007 Enterprise (Outlook), Windows Live OneCare
(tried diabling this - no change. I've removed all firewall and virus
protects, still won't transmit message body is ok though.) If I send with
Vista's E-mail replacement for Outlook Express, everything goes thru fine.
This one really has me stumped!

are you sure it's not getting sent? It may be encased in a winmail.dat
because you are using RTF formatting and the recipient isn't using Outlook.

Yes, I'm sure it is not going. I sent to my laptop and to my wife's older
unit.
I already researched the '.dat' possiblity. Since then I have re-installed
MSO2007 cleanly. No difference.

I have the same problem, sending pdf-files.
My configuration:
Vista Enterprice
Office 2007 Professional Pro

I have put Outlook in sending plain text mode in the option menu without
result, tried RTF and HTML, all with the same result - no attachment is
recieved.

This only seems to be a pdf problem. I am having the same problem. new Dell
with xp pro and outlook 07. I can send 1 email to 3 different people and the
one person got the attachment as a winmail.dat the next person got nothing
and the 3rd got it with no problem. If the 3rd forwards it to the one that
got nothing originally from me she gets it just fine. if I send the same
file as a zip file to the one who got the winmail.dat he can unzip it and get
the pdf. If I email an xl file to the one who gets no pdf from me she does
get the xl file. I spent an hour with my isp and they are baffled.

I too am now having similar problems. Tried attaching only one (1) small
picture (.jpg - 10 mb) and it stalled out and would not send. Using Outlook
2003 and this is a recent problem as I've done it many times in the past.

When pdf's disapear after you send them or someone receives it as a
winmail.dat file your email account setup for sending format is NOT the only
place you have to turn off Rich Text Format for sending emails. You must
also change the rich text format in the email address properties in your
address book for the person you are sending to. double click on the email
address to bring up the email address properties and change it to let outlook
decide. The address book properties over ride what you choose in your email
account set up.

Had a similar problem, in which after clicking the Send button of a message
with attachment, the message dialog box was not closed, and it was not sent.
Turned out there were several Outlook processes runing.
Deleting all of these processes and restarting Outlook solved the problem.
