i have made a dynamic web template (.dwt) page for my website, but, whenever
i add content to the editable regions and then save the page, the pages are
displayed with a double dynamic template. how do i use a dynamic web
template and save the pages so they are not displaying the template in the
editable region?

Post a URL for your published DWT page

Where are you adding the content - to the DWT or to the page after
attaching the DWT?

Start a new blank page and immediately save it - the page should be
completely blank in Design view.
Attach the DWT to the page (Format->Dynamic Web Template->Attach...),
and save it again.
Now add the content to the editable areas. Then save it.
There will only be one appearance of the DWT stuff.

Another thought - are you using Shared Borders? If so, remove them. Do
not use Shared Borders AND a DWT.
