Dynamic Legend Entries?

I have developed a nice dynamic chart with a combo box and check boxes
thanks to those on this list.

I do not have a pivot table.

Is there a way to have the legend just show the series that are plotted on
the graph?

Right now all possible series are listed in the legend and it is too messy.

I often remove legends from my charts. The user has to move from the chart to the
legend and back. I like to put labels right on the data series, such as my
LabelLastPoint trick:

You could adjust this to label the first point if that's nicer. Any labels on
uncharted series do not appear.
