Dynamic Disk Problem

I have had to reinstall windows XP Pro on the same
computer due to a software (os) fault. The problem is
that my dynamic disk is now showing as a basic disk with
one partition. I am upgrading to SP1 as i type this and
am hoping it will solve my problem. Help & Support
contains no reference to this fault...
Please help asap. I need the server running asap.
