From your description, I think that you are using a hardware RAID 5
controller, which should have the capability of adding space to the
container. After adding the new hard disk, you will find that a new
unallocated area is appended to the current Disk(0). Then please use the
steps below to extend D:.

Note:
1. Please pay more attention to these steps because configuring disks
incorrectly can cause very serious problems.
2. If necessary, please contact your hardware RAID 5 controller
manufacturer for configuration steps on the hardware level.
3. We do not need to change the disk to dynamic since the current disk is a
Basic disk.

|I have a windows 2000 server configured with 7 disks using
|hardware raid 5. In disk manager it shows one Disk disk(0)
|with two logical drives on This primary partition
