DX9 install

I realise I don't *need* to install DirectX 9.0c - except I do. As part of
our testing of a graphics driver problem, I've been asked to reinstall
DirectX after installing the graphics drivers (as opposed to making
components) and whether I use the redist or the web install, I get the same
thing - DirectX says it's installed but has, in fact, done nothing. It does
this whether I have tried to put the whole of DirectX into the image already
or not.

Hi

I am a litte bit late, but perhaps you need a solution...

At the Dx9 component, there are some registry keys missing, so the redist
install package aborts the installation....

I had the same problem...

If you need the reg keys and values, let me know, than I will look into my
install component and extract them...

I just experienced the same problem and found a hacky way to solve it.

First get the redist for the 9.0b and 9.0c packages and extract them to
seperate folders.
Second, copy the two dlls and one exe from the 9.0b folder to the 9.0c
folder.
Third, run the replaced exe in the 9.0c folder and DX9c should install
without problems. Or at least it did for me.

Hope that helps,
Mike
