When shutting down or rebooting Windows XP Pro nearly
everytime I get the message, "DWWIN.EXE has failed to
initialize because the windows station is shutting down."
The computer I'm using is not on a network and I'm the
only one that uses it. IF I'm not mistaken that may be a
Microsoft error reporting application. Regardless, can
anyone tell me how to eliminate this from happening.
Obviously it's not a huge problem, just a Nuisance.
Thanks a lot!

Hard to believe, but will see. :o) As I have troubleshot this on many
systems having the same behavior, without either update being installed.

This seems to come about from certain tweaks and/or vb scripts. Nothing
found as of yet for a common glue, but this behavior does differ via the
users.

For everyone's information deleting those two upgrade
patches did not solve the problem. I appreciate your
responses and if you have any other ideas I would welcome
a try at it.

Thanks again,

Dick
