Dwnld SP2 and now computer has system error

I recently tried to install SP2 without much success. Now my computer has a
system error and keeps trying to reboot. I even tried the troubleshooting
info from the microsoft page, but my computer won't even start in safe mode
or go back to last good configuration. I am no computer buff, but if anyone
can point me in the right direction, so that I can use my computer again, I
would really appreciate it.
