ntbackup refuse to let me use the drive for ASR or otherwise - invalid
something. Nero recognizes the drive correctly and does allow me to burn
data DVD. Yes there is a lank DVD, but no popup. the property was set to
create writeable dvd when blank disk is inserted

what should I do if I want direct asr disk on dvd in

also can ntbackup run on dos boot floppy? if so I use that as boot image for
Nero.

ntbackup will not write to a DVD, only to a fixed storage
device. Since ntbackup is a 32-bit program, it cannot run
under DOS - it requires Windows.

You can do what you want to do by writing your backup
file to hard disk, then using Nero under Windows to burn
it to your DVD.
