I have a question. If I make a slide show and burn it to a DVD or VCD, how
do I manually advance each slide? In other words, if the slide show is saved
as a video, how does the DVD player know when to pause for each slide before
I advance to the next one? Also what would allow me to insert an mpeg or AVI
video clips into the slide presentation. Thanks, David

You have tools that convert PowerPoint to DVD but I haven't found the perfect
one yet.

You could output a video from PowerPoint using more info at:

How can I convert a presentation into a movie format like MPG, AVI or
QuickTime?

Thereafter use each slide as a separate video in the DVD creation app and
use the Next and Previous controls on your remote.

Alternatively, if you know where to pause in between slides, use the Pause
and Play buttons on your remote.

You can try "photo DVD Maker". It turns pictures into slide show video
CD. and you can view on TV with DVD player. You can advance the slide
by using the DVD remote controller.

website is http://www.photo-dvd-maker.com

A great PowerPoint to DVD Software: PowerPoint2DVD may help you.

It is said that PowerPoint2DVD can convert PowerPoint to DVD or miniDVD,
and then you can play your PowerPoint on TV as controled on computer.
