DVD-RW support in XP pro SP1

I can't get the fix described in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 818733.
It is supposed to correct the flaws in -RW disks support
of XP.
Can anyone help ?

article, it describes exactly how to obtain the fix....by contacting
Microsoft support. That is the only way to obtain it.
