Please someone help. I can't load any programs after
upgrading to Windows XP because the drivers for the DVD
ROM and Burner must have been accidentally ininstalled.
I've gone to the websites and downloaded the drivers to my
desktop, but when I try and run it just says drive not
found. I've tried everything I can think of including
asking many people. Device Manager says there is a
problem, but it's just a circle of events: try and
uninstall and reinstall DVD ROM, no driver found, try and
load new driver, "No Drive Found". I can't think of
anything else and I so regret trying to upgrade from WIN
98 SE. Now I can't even load my programs to fix my
business website because they are on disk! Can anyone
help???

Hi Adam,

See if this helps:

Save the file below to your hard drive. Navigate to where you saved it and
double click the file. A confirmation dialog will appear when the script is
done. You may need to reboot for the change to take effect.
