DVD Region

Hi
I'm in Switzerland (DVD-Region 2). I have been watching DVD on my 9 month
old PC, but I didn't know there were only 4 times to change the region. The
last DVD I played had Region 3 and I changed it from Region 2 to Region 3,
but I can't play any DVD-Region 2 anymore, because it says my DVD is setted
with Region 3. Now I heard the Region can be changed only 4 times, but it's
too late to change it back to Region 2. Does anybody know if there are
anything I can do to change it again to Region 2 ????
P.S. I have Windows XP Professional, in case this information can help you
for a possible advice. Thank you!

I'm as curious as you are as to how one can return the
rights to the regions on a DVD drive. I for one don't
understand why we are genreally limited to (4) attempts
or changes, and my question to you is, does using all the
regions now render the drive useless on playback?

You can "possibly" get hacked firmware for your drive that strips the region
code. Try cdfreaks.
