To start off, I partitioned my hard drive with XP Home on both drives and I
use the C drive for my business and D drive to play on. My DVD recorder works
great when I boot up on C drive, But when I boot up on D it works like it
just like it does on C But when I try to burn anything it wont. I went to the
CD properties and made sure everything was checked and not checked the same
on both C & D drives when I booted up on Both.
I hope I explained it well enough so you can understand what this big
dummie is talking about!

Thanks, Don

Are C: & D: on diffrent hds or diffrent volumes within the same hd..Either
way, youre added D: drive is probably whats throwing the dvd recording out.
D: by default in windows is usually a cdrom or dvdrom or dvdrw/cdrw,the
registry retains this info,to readjust,go to
run,type:regedit,expand:HKEY_LOCAL_
MACHINE/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion,open source path.L.click
on installation sources,go to edit, modify, set youre dvd with same letter as
it is
in my computer, close out when thru,L.click on Installation Sources,do the
same,
close out regedit.
