dvd problems

my computer cannot read my dvd i have cdrom/rw is there
anybody could help me with this?
 
A CD drive, whether a CD burner or just plain ROM drive, will NOT read a
DVD. To read a DVD you need a DVD ROM drive or DVD burner drive.
