DVD Playing Problems???

Hey,
The only program I am able to use to play DVDs
successfully is Win Media Player 9. In all the others I
have a problem. In RealOne it either won't play the
video, or says sorry for the inconvience this program
needs to close. In InterVideo DVD after 2 seconds it
freezes and freezes all my other processes. In
Interactual Player it pops up with sorry for the
inconvience this program needs to close after a couple of
minutes. In Ifo Edit which is a program to edit dvd
files, won't play DVDs and pops up with a message that
says, can't get the IVideoWindow Interface. The only
other thing is that I have a video card with a TV Tuner
and if I have the TV App on when I try to play a DVD
using Win Media Player 9, I don't get any video. I think
it has tio do with the "IVideoInterface". I looked it up
and it is a component of DirectX. I ran the DirectX
diagnostic and it didn't find any problems. This problem
happened when I had DirectX 8, so I tryed to update to
9.0b and I got the same problem. Any suggestions? Am I
able to completely remove DirectX and install it again or
something?
Thanks!

DirectX is a system component so it cannot be uninstalled. You would need
to do a inplace upgrade on the machine to roll back the DirectX versions.
