Hi, I'm new to this as I have only just got my DVD burner. I have burnt
video clips to a +(plus) DVD, went OK (one came with my burner), but my son
gave me some -(minus) ones to practice with. The trouble is that I can't
get them to burn, even though my burner is a dual one (8-SPEED DVD-R / DVD+R
INTERNAL DVD BURNER PC). Am I supposed to tick something when I try to use
it, I'm using Nero v6. I want to backup my files and burn some videos. CDs
work well! Thanks.

You shouldn't have to change anything. Howeve there are a lot of nasty
cheap DVD disks out there which often fail to work. What is the brand of
media you are using?

The manufacturer of my DVD burner, in the owner's manual, listed all
recommended manufacturers of blank media. They also update it on their web
site. I would not recommend using media they did not list.

Could be the same with yours - the blank media is not to be used.

It is NU 8-SPEED DVD-R / DVD+R, I'll get some more disks and see if they
work. Thanks
