Burning DVD's

I have a Dell Dimension 5150. When I put a DVD+R disc in, my computer doesn't
read it. I can play DVD's though. How do I know if I have a DVD burner or
not? I thought it was included or do I have to buy a burner?

FWIW...the Dell website states that
the Dell Dimension 5150 has a
CD-RW / DVD-ROM combo drive.

That means it will burn CDs but
only read DVDs.

You can read about it at the following
link:

(Click "Tech Specs" and then "Storage")

If you added a DVD-RW burner when
you ordered the machine the front
of the tray should say: DVD-RW.
